Under the cover of this enormous investment project, which is of vital importance in urban traffic, Izmir municipality has 2 connecting overpasses with the highway, 2 underpasses at the intersection of Kemalpaşa Street with Kamil Tunca Boulevard, and 1 overpass for the connection of belt highway under construction.
In the first bridge that is 280 meters long and consists of 22 columns, 144 pile foundation is used. And for the second bridge which is 920 meters long and consists of 35 columns, 326 pile foundation is used. These bridges will provide the connection to terminal by connecting to a 2.5 km and consisting of two sections.
Where will it pass?
The tunnel has 2 outbound and 2 inbound paths and a total of four-bound. By passing through ile Çamlık, Mehtap, İsmetpaşa, Ufuk Ferahlı, Ulubatlı, Mehmet Akif, Saygı, Atamer, Çınartepe, Merkez, Zafer, Birlik, Koşukavak, Çamkule, Meriç, Yeşilova ve Karacaoğlan from Kemalpaşa street located in Bornova will provide a connection to the terminal.
The cost of this 7-kilometer path in which there are a tunnel, 2 bridges, 2 underpasses, and 1 overpass and a road is about 183 million Lira.
A 2.5-kilometer two-bound tunnel is constructing by the municipality of Izmir between the Ufuk area in Bornova and Çamkule. At the same time, it is considered as the “longest tunnel on land located on the inland boundaries. Currently, the tunnels used by Izmir residents is are follow:
Bayraklı 1 tunnel with a length of 320 meters, Konak tunnel with the length of 1674, and Bayraklı tunnel with the length of 1865 meter.
